help us!

Yesterday we had a serious emergency! The cats’ heating system froze! There was nothing we could do. We had to light the stove and evacuate the cats indoors. And the worst part is, there’s no power either! When we turn on the heat gun, the generator shuts down.
Without much panic, the cats quietly and calmly moved downstairs. They passed the dogs, but luckily, they behaved calmly. Apparently, they see them 24/7 and therefore didn’t panic too much.
And so, the agenda for today took shape naturally.
Yes, we had quite a weekend!
We’ve been trying to fix the heating since 7am.
But we still hadn’t gotten the system up and running by 6:30pm, and it’s impossible now! Absolutely!
So what was actually done?
There were six of us today. One person heated water on a gas stove and carried it, watered the dogs, gave pills to sick cats and dogs, and gave injections. The second stoked the stove downstairs and cleaned up after the animals. Two more tried to warm up the radiators, soldered, carried out sofas, unloaded pipes, and installed faucets. And two more added straw to the booths, removed the straw that had spilled out of the bales, and patched up the dug holes in the enclosures.
The new pipes were completely re-soldered. Completely!
It seemed to be all there was to it! But no! We couldn’t get the system running, this time with the new one. While the boiler was sitting there, not providing any heat, the pipe in the utility room near the boiler froze. We had to cut it off and install a new one…
Honestly, it’s beyond description. We heated ourselves with a gas cylinder, laid firebricks on the gas stove burners…
The cat house is now completely cut off. So the cats are staying downstairs in the house. The stove is lit there and it’s very warm.
The workers’ shelter is still in question.
We really hope that we will succeed, because we will no longer have the strength to endure another night like yesterday.
