help us!

Angels-observers, looking upon us with compassionate understanding and unconditional love. Walking silently beside us, gently leaning their heads on our shoulders to hear the trickle of our thoughts, the pool of our feelings. Those who greet us at birth and accompany us to our final moments. Those who hold our hands, who are filled with our destinies and our worlds. And who even envy us in some ways.
To be human… To have a beginning, an end, and a chance—with each new day, each new hour. To breathe freedom, to choose and give. To endure pain, but to immerse oneself in happiness, to know betrayal, but that makes one seek devotion all the more stubbornly, to get burned, but to cling all the more tightly to what is dear to oneself. To cry from helplessness, to lose and find hope. To not imagine one’s life without the love pulsing in one’s temples, so small a place in one’s heart that it becomes the world.
To be so fragile, weak to the point of despair and surprisingly strong, to try to live so much in one’s short life. To teach and learn, to refute and create, to answer questions and ask new ones. To turn the world upside down or save it. To leave something behind. To simply live, to feel alive with every cell.
Angels know more about us than we do ourselves. And they continue to love, even when it seems there’s no room for love. They continue to believe in us, in our ability to do what they can’t. And one day comes the day of understanding—that being human is a choice!
It’s just a choice, ladies and gentlemen!
