Today we had some very unusual guests – police from Odessa and the Odessa region.
They gave us a tour of our shelter – a joint charity event for children.
This was a very helpful educational activity. The children were able to see firsthand what an animal shelter is like, how animals live, and how they want to interact with people.
Mutual trust immediately developed between the children and the animals. The dogs sensed their kindness and barely barked.
The children shared warmth and shared stories.
And the little kitten, Kys-Murys, trusted the children so much that he even tried to escape.
There was so much heart, hugs, and compassion in this interaction!
It was unexpectedly very touching, almost to the point of tears.
Thank you so much for your kindness and gifts!
