You can’t wash your face with someone else’s hands,

You can’t open a door, you can’t plant a tree.

You’re worth as much as people need you.

Life has proven it.

You can’t say “I love you” to someone else’s heart,

You won’t feel pain or joy.

You can’t command time to stop,

Live in the moment you’re present in.

You can’t reach where your soul is drawn to on someone else’s feet.

You don’t dance, and you won’t win the marathon.
