A shelter is always a ton of work!

Always!

In fall, winter, and summer.

There’s no such thing as an easier time. It just can’t be!

We’re big fans of routine and cleanliness, but also because we believe it’s essential for the animals’ health. The enclosures are cleaned twice a day. There can’t be any grass in the enclosures, absolutely! That’s a huge risk! That’s why we practically pluck every last blade of grass with tweezers. The back of the enclosures is treated with a special flea and tick solution, and the kennels are washed every two weeks. The animals are treated with Bravecto, with Advocate drops applied to the withers, and each pet wears a flea collar.

We’re also preparing for the general vaccination campaign.

But we’re not forgetting about the essentials either.

We’ve stocked up on groceries for two weeks.

We also bought a watering can for the rock garden.

Our shelter will not only be clean and healthy, but also beautiful!
