“Sometimes in our lives we meet people about whom they say: a man of Conscience, a man of Action, a man of the Word. We met her on Facebook a long time ago, in person – already during the war days. Today my wife and I were at Lyudmila Melnikova’s shelter. And it’s not even about the exemplary order, wonderful, well-fed, cheerful dogs and cats. It’s about loving what you do. Love for business and for animals.

Everything in the shelter is surgically precise and in its place! There are children, there is a reservation, there is a whole structure for the rehabilitation of a dog with a spinal injury, etc. All dogs are classified according to their character. They play with others, and they distrust each other. Everything is in its place. Orchestra!!! A perfectly tuned piano. And the most amazing thing is total obedience. All dogs are socialized, thanks to the shelter workers.

My ward Tyra is there too. A day is not enough to photograph everyone. There are a lot of animals. I’ll share with you what I photographed during a couple of hours of being there.

Yes, and I also want to thank all those who helped collect some help for this dog house. Food, pates, diapers, harnesses, leashes, collars, muzzles, treats, a couple of sweaters, etc.

Finally, I want to ask you two things…

And be sure to look at the photographs and show them to your friends, colleagues, acquaintances, children… Yes, they live in a shelter, but the life of a dog or cat is next to a person. They are waiting for their man. And, I’ll tell you something that shocked me. I don’t remember his name, but one of the dogs greets anyone very joyfully and is very offended and sad if the person did not take him. Even after a while…

I have said and will continue to say, dogs are the whole world. And they also love, feel, feel sad, rejoice, are offended, or even cry.

Perhaps some of them will go home tomorrow… To their man!
