Working schemes for treatment of dogs from parasites
Recommended by the intensive care doctor of the Veterinary Clinic “Exvet” Yulia Gennadievna Gurina and the dermatologist of “Exvet” Valery Yuryevich Skorokhod.
“It’s almost summer, so our pets are being attacked from all sides by various types of parasites.
It is better to choose a treatment plan individually, because the life of each dog takes place in different conditions: someone walks in the field, swims in open water, goes hunting in the forest, and someone is mom’s sofa pie and especially does not walk anywhere.
Therefore, we offer you several options for processing.

PILL SCHEMES are the best choice for dogs who love an active life, often bathe – the active substance of the tablets works, it is not washed off like drops.
• Simparica TRIO or NexGard Spectra tablets monthly (these tablets act on fleas, ticks, worms, including microfilariae) + Foresto collar, Skalibor, Kiltix (for repellent action against mosquitoes, flies, etc.).
• Simparica / NexGuard monthly or Bravecto (protects against fleas and ticks) every 12 weeks + Foresto collar, Scalibor, Kiltix or Sentry O spray, Bolfo (as a repellant) + anthelmintic drugs Milprazon, Milbemax (month).
* NexGard and NexGard Spectra are two different drugs. Simparika and Simparika TRIO are also different preparations. They have different antiparasitic “spectrum”.
If you want DROPS ON THE WITHERS, we recommend:
• Frontline Tri-act (fleas, ticks, lice) or Advantix or Vectra 3D (fleas, ticks, mosquitoes) EVERY 4 WEEKS + Milprazon / Milbemax (works against helminths and microfilariae) monthly +/- repellent collar or tick spray.
Drops containing selamectin, ivermectin, selamectin, milbemycin oxime, moxidectin (Stronghole, Advokat, etc.) DO NOT ACT ON Ixodes ticks that carry a dangerous disease – babesiosis *. In our region with a warm climate, where winters are only calendar (there are no long frosts), ticks / mosquitoes are present not only in summer, but even in January – February. Therefore, these drops do not give the dog full protection.
IMPORTANT! Cultivate dogs against microfilariae (prevention of dirofilariasis**) should be monthly. Less frequent treatment will not protect the animal and may create conditions for drug resistance.
